General description

Durapore hydrophilic membranes are ideal for clarification of protein solutions. Protein binding is on the order of 1 μg/cm2, two orders of magnitude lower than nylon, nitrocellulose, or PTFE.

General description

Filter type HC, 0.7 μm pore size, is designed for improved recovery of stressed fecal coliform organisms, especially those found in chlorinated effluents. The larger pore size permits faster filtration if the water sample has a higher particulate burden.
Both filters are cellulose acetate/cellulose nitrate mixed esters.
S-Kit includes filter membrane plus absorbent pad, sterile, individually sealed, packed in 100′s in dispenser tubes.
S-Pak includes filter membrane, sterile, individually sealed.

Filter type HA, 0.45 μm pore size, is designed to give complete retention and maximum recovery of total coliforms and fecal coliform bacteria.

Filter Papers

For production of the high qualityfilter papers we use cotton linters, refined pulp with a high level of a-cellulose as well as glass fibres. Cotton linters are short-fibred seed hairs from cotton seeds, which cannot be used for textile purposes, but which are highly suitable for the manufacture of soft and absorbent filter papers.

In addition to cotton linters we use mainly pulp, which is obtained by chemical treatment of plant materials, e.g. coniferous or deciduous wood. only the most experienced paper specialists select the raw materials in order to ensure the continuosly high quality of our filter papers.

For the manufacturing of MN glass fibre filters we use staple fibres made from borosilicate glass. With a diameter of 0.5 - 1.5 μm these glass fibres are considerably thinner than cellulose fibres. One of the most important feature of glass fibre filters is their resistance almost all chemicals.
